Centro Ashé is rooted in food sovereignty, local food and traditional medicine and works in Washington DC Metro Area and Talamanca, Costa Rica. We seek to build an engaged community through organizing educational activities connecting us with the earth, our food, our traditions, our true selves. Ashé is a word and a concept that comes out of several traditional cultures and means the Spirit behind movement, a catalyzing and creative energy, some have called it pure energy in motion. Through our programs we focus on holding space for this energy of creation to be explored and amplified. Ashé!
