Have you always wanted to attend a Centro Ashé course but haven't had the time or availability to make it to one yet? Now is your chance! It is with great join we invite you to join us for our online herbal medicine course! Gain a strong foundation in herbal medicine right from the comfort of your own home! Our Online Herbal Medicine Course provides a foundation in folk herbalism and is oriented towards those interested in self care and learning to care for their families and loved ones. Our students will learn how to source, prepare, and utilize their own herbal medicine preparations! Additionally participants will gain a basic understanding of how to understand the medicine of the plants through herbal tastes, herbal energetics, and we will cover basic herbal actions as well.
Our course is self paced, there is no pressure and no rush. You will have lifetime access to our course and course videos. All students will need for the course is access to the internet in order to tune into our course videos. Additionally course notes for each section of the course are included as well. We will send a recommended supply list to students once registered, but our goal is to make herbalism easy to do at home, from your kitchen, without having to purchase additional expensive equipment.

The Online Herbal Medicine Course Is: ~ For individuals with an interest in herbal and nutritional wellness and self care. ~ Focused on empowering participants with basic knowledge and information on holistic health and self care. ~ Taught by a skilled herbalist in areas of holistic health, wellness, and herbs. ~ Is designed to give you practical skills as well as basic theoretical background on how to incorporate holistic wellness into your life, how to incorporate herbs into your diet and how to make basic herbal remedies.

About Your Instructor Molly Meehan Brown is passionate about community based herbal and food systems and specifically working cooperatively to keep the knowledge of our food, herbal medicine, seeds, and our healing traditions alive and vital within our communities! As the founder and director of Centro Ashé Community Herbal Education, Molly lives half the year in the DC Area and the other half the year in Talamanca, Costa Rica. She coordinates and teaches as part of the DC areas first community based herbal apprenticeship program, facilitates youth programming, and coordinates the annual Chesapeake Herb Gathering! Molly’s background includes working in Community Outreach and Education for the Centre for Agricultural and Environmental Stewardship at the Accokeek Foundation, particularly working in partnership with the Rural Coalition on outreach to socially disadvantaged farmers though the USDA 2501 Federal Grant Program. She coordinated the Federal Nutritional Benefits Program at the FreshFarm Dupont Circle Farmers Market, and previously ran the Cross-Cultural Group & Internship Programs at Punta Mona Centre for Regenerative Design and Botanical Studies in Costa Rica. Molly began her career coordinating the volunteer and medical evaluations program for clients at Survivors of Torture, International. She has a BA in International Studies / Human Rights, as well as an MA in Sustainable Development and Non-Profit Management from the School for International Training.
Molly studied herbalism at the Self Heal School for Herbal Medicine in California, with various traditional herbalists in Costa Rica for the last decade, and attended the clinical herbal program at Sacred Plant Traditions. Molly enjoys speaking at conferences both in the US & abroad, facilitating workshops as well as connecting people and plants!

Centro Ashé programs act as catalysts to build community, land-based, and traditional knowledge. We celebrate the richness and diversity of folk herbalism across cultures while providing supportive and practical knowledge. We honor the incredible knowledge present within our communities and our teachers are all local herbalists, farmers, and plant people in the communities we work, the knowledge is right here!
